PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Deposit Required for Booking: $7,000

Final Balance Due: 4 weeks prior to event date

FOOD + BEVERAGE

Barr Mansion requires clients to use our on-site catering for food and beverage. Couples can opt to bring in cakes, desserts, and food trucks for a late night snack from outside vendors as long as the on-site kitchen facilities are not being used and food and beverage minimums are met. In house rental items may go towards meeting F+B minimums.

The wedding cakes included in our package are for standard, classic designs. Ornate cakes with intricate patterns or faux tiers will incur an additional fee.

OUTSIDE VENDORS

Barr Mansion does not provide wedding planning, services for entertainment (band, DJ, photo booths, etc), floral/decor, officiant, photographer/videographer, transportation or lodging. Those can be sourced through outside vendors, which we have recommendations for below. Planners are the one outside vendor that must be on our approved list.

RAIN PLANS & TENTING

We have rain plan options in both the farmstead and ballroom, depending on setup and guest count. We do allow tenting on the property using our approved vendors. Your coordinator will assist you in creating a rain plan option.

LAWN REQUIREMENTS

We have an expansive lawn that clients often use for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. We love our alfresco celebrations, but need to ensure our lawn stays healthy for all events. All fully outdoor, reception lawn layouts need to be reviewed and approved in advance by our venue manager. Rentals such as dance floors, staging, etc. need liners to protect our grass. Outdoor bars may be set up on the gravel or on a rented platform on the grass subject to venue manager’s approval.

Fully outdoor receptions on the lawn will incur a late night breakdown fee of $1,000 (ceremonies and cocktail hours do not apply).

CANCELLATION POLICY

If client cancels for any reason, Barr Mansion retains all deposits paid unless event date is re-booked at full price. A change of date is considered a cancellation.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Barr Mansion does not provide on-site accommodations and recommends lodging in areas such as downtown Austin (15-20 minute commute) the Domain (15-20 commute) or Arboretum (15-20 minute commute)

DECORATIONS

All candles must be in enclosed containers or vases (hurricane vases MUST have a bottom to catch wax). Any damage to our linens caused by candle wax will be subject to a $50 replacement fee. We allow for sparklers, thrown petals (must be real), and bubbles.

No items can be stapled, nailed or glued to the walls in any of the spaces nor hung from any electrical wires.

The following are not permitted:
Sky Released Lanterns, Glitter, Confetti, Silly String, Bird Seed, Rice, Silk Tossing Petals.

VENUE SOUND ORDINANCE

Music must end by midnight all days except Saturday inside our buildings. On Saturdays, music must end by 1am. No amplified music outside after 10pm.

BAR TIMES

Per TABC all alcohol service must conclude by 1am on Saturdays and midnight on all other days.

If you would like the event to continue past alcohol service time you will be charged for the non-alcoholic package per guest for the remaining time.

PARKING

Our gravel parking lot can accommodate up to 115 cars. We allow for shuttles and charter buses to enter into our lot. We do not provide nor require valet or parking attendants, but you can source an outside vendor for this service if desired. We have vendor parking behind the ballroom and pasture parking is used on an “as needed” basis.

FIREWORKS

Fireworks are permitted through our approved vendors only, while not in a burn ban, and no later than 11pm (excluding New Years eve, which is midnight).

FLIP FEES

Sometimes our clients request items to be flipped or spaces to be transformed during the event, in which case flip fees will apply. These are typically $500-$1,000 depending on the scope of the transformation.

PETS/ANIMALS

We are very pet-friendly! We kindly ask that all pets brought on site are up-to-date with their shots/vaccinations for everyone’s safety. No animals are allowed in the Mansion or Ballroom at any time.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

Barr complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and all doors are wider than the 32” required for interior doors. We also have approved ramps leading to the Mansion, Ballroom, and Farmstead. We also have restrooms that meet all the standards required. That being said, we are a garden wedding venue and some of our outdoor spaces are trickier to navigate – we encourage you to do a walk through with our team if this is a primary concern. We are here to help in any way we can!

ZERO WASTE POLICY

At Barr Mansion, we are proud to be a zero waste facility – 97% of our waste stream is diverted from landfills, which is no easy task! We work hard to organize everything that comes through our doors into different recycling streams, and all of our food waste is composted and used to fertilize our gardens.

Any items or trash brought in by the clients and vendors must also be removed by clients and vendors same-day. This includes pre-event food items, event signage, dance floor props, late night snack wrappers, etc. We appreciate your help making this green initiative possible!
